Our Business
MRC's core business is the collection, processing and recycling of all types of ferrous metal. MRC operates an extensive fleet of specialised vehicles and equipment from centralised depots in Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal, Mpumalanga, North West and the Western Cape.
We purchase and collect recyclable material from local dealers in the formal and informal sectors and from industrial generators such as mines and manufacturers.
We are able to offer same-day payment to smaller scale entrepreneurs. We encourage the development of community initiatives collecting recyclable steel. We also, however, maintain the strictest standards and controls to ensure that we process no material that could have been sourced illegally.
All material entering our depots is accurately weighed and logged. It is then graded, sheared, bailed or shredded to customer specification.
The final material is then transported to be reutilised by local and international foundries.
